Fibre Arts Group

Interested in free-form methods of working with fabrics, materials and/or found objects?
Prefer traditional methods?  Or just want to learn? A new Fibre Arts group is being formed.  They will be meeting at the Superstore on Gladwin Road in the Community Room. First meeting is November 9, 2009 at 7:00 pm and then every second Monday of the month. For more information email christine@lyleandchristine.com

The Green Heart Chorus is looking for women who like to sing.
Regular rehearsals are on Tuesdays at 7 to 10 pm. Legacy Building (upstairs) at Exhibition Park Sing 4 part barber shop harmony with a wide variety of songs. Call for Art

Mission Arts Council
is accepting submissions from lower mainland artists for the MAGie Art Gallery, the Mission Leisure Centre, and the Mission Library. There is an ongoing call for artists/artisans to exhibit at the MAGie Gift Shop, 33529 First Avenue, Mission.

Gallery 7 Theatre Volunteer Opportunities
 
Set Construction Assistants - If you enjoy swinging a hammer and would like to help bang some sets together, we need you!  Also looking for a talented carpenter to take the lead on one or two projects.  

Costume Construction Assistants - Gallery 7 Theatre is developing a pool of sewers and costume assistants who can help the costume designers build the necessary costumes for each show.

The Abbotsford Arts Council is the local Arts Advocate in Abbotsford.

Mission:  The mission of the Abbotsford Arts Council is to act as a resource for local artists while promoting the vision, creativity, and energy of the community through the Arts. We are proud to provide the Kariton Art Gallery as resource for local artists to showcase their art.

Vision:  The Abbotsford Arts Council is the voice and resource for local artists and their art.

Mandate:  The Abbotsford Arts Council was created to develop and enhance the arts in the Abbotsford community.  The Arts Council consists of members, volunteers and directors representing diverse artistic, economic, political, and cultural interests of community members of all ages.

We encourage and support local arts organizations and individuals, including artists of all levels, by coordinating projects and events on our own and through partnerships to address the needs of our members.

ENVISION COFFEE HOUSE CONCERT SERIES

Abbotsford Arts Council, in partnership with Envision Financial, is pleased to announce the return of the very popular Envision Coffee House Concert Series.

Every Saturday evening from April to the end of June and then again from September to the end of November, residents will have an opportunity to hear free, live music in various genres such as jazz, blues, country, pop, rock, bluegrass, folk and more.
