The Abbotsford Arts Council Presents the 2010 ARTY Awards

The Abbotsford Arts Council was pleased to present the Seventh Annual Arty Awards to honor and recognize our nominees who have achieved excellence in their art as well as emerging artists and arts advocates who have contributed significantly to the arts scene in our community.   The ARTY Awards recognized and honored outstanding artists in the following fields.

Life Time Achievement Award
The Abbotsford Arts Council is pleased to present this year's award to Derek Albon.

The 2010 awards were full of fun and entertainment as we celebrated the talent of local artists in Abbotsford. The uniting message of 2010 was the passion and dedication that all the nominees have for their art. Congratulations to all the nominees and the winners!

Thank you to Hats off Productions and Graham Steeksma for the wonderful entertainment they provided during the ceremony! The highlight was our MC chasing Graham Steeksma off stage. A wonderful performance by Graham Steeksma, Bryan Steeksma and friend.

Thank you to Kirsty, Elsa and the incredible dancers with Dynamic Dance for their wonderful dances of highland and hip hop. The girls brought down the house with their last performance - a wonderfully choreographed dance of pink and black tutu's swirling all over stage. It was mesmerizing to watch the talent of these young performers.

Special thanks goes to our wonderful MC Charles Wiebe who was funny, charming and a pleasure to listen to.
