ARTS IN MILL LAKE
On Saturday, July 25th, The Arts in Mill Lake Park
had artists, musicians, and performers stepping out of their
studio and into the sunshine. Spread out on the grounds
around Kariton Gallery, over 30 artisans showcased their
art, jewelry, sculpture, and carvings, offering the public a
glimpse of the wonderful talent that resides on our
community.
Visitors were entertained by the melodic violin of Merla
Watson and captivated by the songs sung by Victoria Duffield
who was accompanied by an energetic young dance trio.
Strollers and bikers were stopped in their tracks by the
magnificent arias sung by Jane Perrett. Country and folk
music had everyone tapping their toes to the rhythms
performed by Avenue Eh.
It was an afternoon filled with natural beauty and endless
inspiration. The Abbotsford Arts Council would like to thank
jewelry designer, Leslie Easte and watercolor artist, Etta
Hellyer for their generous donations to the silent auction.
The Abbotsford Arts Council gratefully acknowledges the
generous support given by Costco, M&M Meats, and PriceSmart
Foods.
